Conference and training @CRAFT BEER ITALY 22-23 November 2017

The world of craft beer, breweries and other professionals, will meet for two intense days of exhibition and high-level training

 

The wide conference program during this two days of CRAFT BEER ITALY is almost complete: it is a unique opportunity to keep up-to-date with the latest international specific innovations for craft beer. This training is provided by VLB-Berlin and Doemens, two research institutes playing a leading role in the international brewing industry, which supervise a series of seminars for different skill levels and issue a participation certificate. 

Seminars will deal with different topics, such as raw materials (malt, cereals, hop and yeast). You can’t miss the speeches by Weyermann, Hopsteiner, Lallemand, Fermentis and Hopfen-Kontor: they will explain how raw materials represent the bedrock for the production of craft beers with unique organoleptic properties. 

Then it comes to production with speeches on filtration, brew rooms, filling and quality assurance. Pentair will explain the role of beer membrane filtration, while CFT will explain traditional techniques for brewing combining them with modern requirements. Ball Packaging will show some packaging solutions, while Schäfer Container Systems will take part in the session about tapping techniques. And then Döhler will talk about the most effective approach for microbiological monitoring in craft breweries.

The sessions about sensory analysis, which is important to improve tasting skills, are also of great interest. Thanks to VLB-Berlin, Doemens and VDGlass visitors will discover some effective techniques for a fulfilling craft beer tasting. The special area Taste It! Area - non la solita birra (no ordinary beer) is not to be missed: here visitors have the chance to taste unique beers, brewed specifically for this event and presented by a Unionbirrai Beer Taster.

CRAFT BEER ITALY aims also to provide some practical information to those who want to start up a brewery and to those who want to have a deeper overview of the role of the Italian brewing industry on the international scene. Doppio Malto Brewing Company and Unionbirrai, which has signed a cooperation agreement with NürnbergMesse Italia, will provide some useful advice and insights on these topics.
