Analysis of mycotoxins in food and feed: a solution for every need

Mycotoxins (Aflatoxin B1-B2-G1-G2, Ochratoxin A, Fumonisin B1-B2, DON, Zearalenone, Toxin T-2 and HT-2, Patulin) are toxic metabolites naturally produced by various types of fungi (including Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium) and are a serious problem for global agriculture, with contaminations that regularly cause crop losses. Cereals (corn, wheat, barley, oats, rye etc.) are particularly vulnerable, however, their presence affects the entire production chain, from raw materials to finished products. The risks deriving from the ingestion of products contaminated with mycotoxins have led many countries to impose measures to control food and feed and to set maximum tolerable limits to protect the health of consumers and animals.
