The February issue of “Tecnica Molitoria” is now available

In this issue we host two scientific articles: one on the sprouting of wheat and the other on the biodiversity of ancient Saragolla populations from Abruzzo region.

We present the trend of the rice-growing campaigns in Italy and the EU, the imports of cereals from China and the worrying tension on the prices of common wheat. 

Let's review interesting international research on pasta, bread and feed: some researchers from the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Salerno have created an active packaging based on pure cellulose and cellulose acetate treated as a microbial agent, a team of Turkish scientists produced dried and freeze-dried sourdough powder, and Korean researchers have studied the effect of introducing yeast culture and garlic mixture into the pigs' diet.

We write about the amendment approved to the State Budget 2021 on the monitoring of production and purchase of cereals and flours, but also to the decree on seed products on which the Agriculture Commission expressed itself last January.
